Sky Wings has been in operation at the Red Deer Regional Airport since 1982 and is located at the SE corner of the airport, conveniently located between both Calgary and Edmonton Airports. We provide flight instruction, charters, fuel sales and storage services. In the summer of 1998, Sky Wings Aviation Academy Ltd. expanded and opened a new facility at Okotoks Air Ranch, becoming the airport operator, while providing the same services as the Red Deer operation. Sky Wings operates 9 Cessna 172’s, one Twin Piper Seneca, and one Twin Piper Navajo. Ground training is conducted in large and well equipped classrooms with multimedia presentations. Instrument and Multi-engine preparatory training is provided on an ALSIM 200 Flight Simulator. At Sky Wings Aviation, we stress personal and individual attention to all persons taking their training with us. We are most interested in listening to comments and suggestions and strive to accommodate a student’s individual needs whenever possible. Our prices are competitive, but not at the expense of quality and professionalism.
